Why an Evo epoxy floor lasts

Rolling a coating onto bare concrete is the easy part. We prepare the slab first, then choose a system that suits the floor, whether it has to take hot tyres, forklifts or chemicals, and we pick it to look good as well.

Proper preparation and full curing time

We do not rush a floor. Every coat gets the curing time it needs, because a coating that goes back into use too early is the one that lifts. Our working figure is 72 hours before the floor goes back into normal use, and if you need it sooner, ask us about a fast cure system.

How a flake epoxy floor is built

This is one shed, photographed at three stages. The slab is ground back, a coloured base coat goes down, then the flake is thrown into the base by hand while it is still wet. The base coat shows through between the chips, so it changes the finished floor even though you never look straight at it.

We were painters first, and for more than fifteen years we laid epoxy floors alongside the painting. We started Evo Epoxy so people would know that this is what we do.
